How to use WajdQuran

Everything here is free, with no account and no adverts. Here is how each part works, and why it helps.

Recite تلاوة

  1. Tap the microphone and recite any verse aloud, from memory or from the page.
  2. WajdQuran listens and finds exactly where you are in the Quran.
  3. Press Listen to hear it, or Understand to learn what it means.

Why it helps: saying the words aloud is how a child first learns and how the heart first connects. Hearing yourself, then hearing a beautiful reciter, fixes the sound in memory.

Open Recite

Read قراءة

  1. Open a surah, then press Play to read along: each verse glows as it is recited.
  2. Tap any Arabic word to see its meaning.
  3. Tap Understand on a verse for a gentle explanation, then Go in depth for the full tadabbur.
  4. Turn on Tajweed to see the recitation rules in colour, save a surah with the star, or jump to any ayah.

Why it helps: reading with the meaning beside the words turns sounds into understanding, so the Quran settles in both sight and heart.

Open the Quran

Reflect تدبر

  1. Choose a theme of the heart, such as mercy, patience or hope.
  2. Real verses on that theme open, each with a gentle explanation.
  3. Use Go in depth for the full meaning, or Ask a question about anything on your mind.

Why it helps: tadabbur means to ponder, not only to pass over the words. Reflecting by theme lets the Quran speak to what you are feeling today.

Memorise, Hifz حفظ

  1. Open a surah and tap Memorise this surah.
  2. The verse is hidden. Recite it from memory, and WajdQuran checks you word by word, showing any words you missed.
  3. Pass a verse to move on, build a daily streak, and grow your memory garden. Use hands-free mode to go without pressing buttons.

How it works, active recall: pulling a verse from memory (rather than just re-reading it) is what makes it stick. Each time you retrieve it and get gentle correction, the memory grows stronger, and revisiting it across days (spacing) makes it last. This is the same method used by the best learning science.

Stories قصص

  1. Tap any surah to watch its story: a gentle picture reel that plays and narrates by itself.
  2. Tap the sides to move through it, or Share to send it to family.
  3. Switch to the Mind map tab to explore the whole surah as one colourful picture.

Why it helps: children remember what they feel. A warm story with pictures and a voice makes each surah loved and remembered, not just recited.
