Privacy

In short: no accounts, no adverts, no trackers. Your data stays on your device.

WajdQuran is a free Quran app made by WAJD AI. We built it to be private by design, especially because children use it. This page explains, in plain words, what happens to your information.

What we do not do

No accounts, no login, no passwords.
No adverts and no advertising trackers.
We do not sell or share your data with anyone.
No profiling of children, no cameras, no emotion reading.

What stays on your device

Your settings and progress are stored only in your browser on your device, not on our servers. This includes your chosen reciter, translation, text size, theme, your memorisation progress and streak, verses you have found, and your prayer settings and location choice.

Location

If you choose to use prayer times or the Qibla compass, your device shares your location with the app on your device only. Prayer times and the Qibla direction are calculated on your device. Your location is not sent to us and is not stored on our servers.

Microphone and recitation

The microphone is used only when you choose to recite. To recognise which verse you recited, a short recording is sent to our server, checked, and then discarded. We do not keep your recordings. If you do not use the recite feature, the microphone is never used.

Verse explanations

When you tap Understand, the app sends the verse reference (for example, chapter and verse number) to our server to prepare a gentle explanation, which is then saved so it can be shown quickly to everyone. No personal information is sent with it.

Children

WajdQuran is suitable for children and is built to protect them: minimum data, nothing that identifies a child, no tracking, and nothing kept that is not needed. There is no chat, no user profiles, and no way for a child to share personal details.

Standard technical data

Like any website, our server keeps basic short-lived logs (such as the fact a page or verse was requested) to keep the service running and safe from abuse. These are not used to identify or track individuals.
